Press On

Paul reminds us “I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13–14

Paul did not allow his past experiences to hold him captive, he did not dwell on guilt of his past decisions and actions. Now that he knew Jesus, he knew he was a new person, he had to do better.

Paul’s zeal of the past did not change after the encounter, but pushed him not to be too comfortable, but to believe, to trust, to seek, to know more, to act, to press on to reach the goal God had called him for, to finish strong and to win the prize.

Hebrews 11:6 says, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. It is a new month, a new day to re-charge, re-examine and push forward. He loves and cares for us.

Happy October to you and your families. Let’s press on to the finish line, to finish strong!
